Was referred from an emergency dentist at the hospital having been an nhs patient previously. I knew my treatment would not be straightforward but Hest Bank saw me promptly and produced a comprehensive treatment plan. My first appointment was for a filling and extraction. The extraction did not take place but will probably happen at a later date but Iwas not put under any pressure to have this treatment at the present time . All the staff that I saw on the day were very professional and treated me with the utmost respect. Would recommend Hest Bank to other customers.

Friendliness of the whole team and the extent to which the clinical team explain what they are going to do so that you fully understand. The clinical team don’t rush you and aim to ease any pre existing anxieties. They explain all options available.

An old filling in a problem but painless tooth had fallen out. Whilst not really urgent the reception staff and Katie, my dentist, were keen to help and fitted me in on the day of my call. As always Katie did an excellent job and maybe saved my wandering tongue the discomfort of revisiting the gap created by the previously missing filling ! Thank you.

i have always had a fear of dentists and dental procedures however i never have been made to feel silly for being nervous or felt like i have been rushed. my dentist and her nurses have always explained my procedures and explained to full lengths what the treatment will go like and explaining every step. my worries always get noted and my dentist goes to great lengths at calming my nerves and avoiding possible things i am most worried for. for example, i was extremely worried about the numbing injection but my dentist was very well at explaining my procedure was possible without the injection, to which she said we could go ahead without and if i wanted to stop at any point that wouldn’t have been a problem. it has made my fears a lot easier and i no longer feel as anxious or scared when going for treatment. i cannot explain how thankful i am for all the staff, including the receptionists who are always so lovely which always make you feel more comfortable while waiting and even ask how the procedure went when you go to leave. it shows extreme amount of care and makes me feel great everytime i leave. Thank you all ur a lovely team! :)

Been with Hest Bank dental surgery since we moved from the Isle of Man in 2004. Fantastic service, great continuity and care from the same staff and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

When I first came to Hest Bank Dental I explained that I was a very nervous patient due to past experiences of poor dental treatment. My dentist, Stuart took time to explain procedures to me and was very patient. My hygienist, Genevieve knows that I find the water scaler very painful so she takes the time to do the scaling manually.

From entering to leaving excellent service

I lost the bottom tray of my whitening kit. I walked in off the street, an explained my situation to the receptionist. She straight away had a word with my dentist and was seen within 10 minutes. A new tray was organised and ordered right away. Great service!

Pharmacist referred me to see my dentist ASAP before I saw anyone else. Called on way home, receptionist very helpful, made appointment for 10 am next morning. Seen by Pindar who was extremely good & having taken & printed off photos of my mouth directed me to see a Doctor. Thank you for the care & professionalism shown.

They are so caring and professional and lovely people. I feel very comfortable although feel very anxious before I arrive. But as soon as my hygienist starts I feel OK. She always says put your hand up if you want me to stop.

I recently had surgery. The hygienist listened carefully to my concerns. She treated me effectively, but with care to put as little physical pressure as possible near the site of the surgery.

If you are a nervous dental patient this practice is for you. I used to be terribly apprehensive about dentists until I started coming here. They are so good at alleviating fears, real or imagined, brilliant team. Highly recommend.

Always polite and accommodating. Very aware of any discomfort that may be experienced and go out of their way to alleviate it. I was always a nervous patient until I started coming to this practice, now I have no problem.

As a patient with a fear of dentists an extraction is a difficult appointment to attend. Throughout the appointment I was kept at ease and well informed throughout the procedure. At no point was my past fear realised hence why I would have no hesitation in recommending the practice to others.

The dentist was very knowledgeable, offered various treatments and took time to explain everything.

Sara was brilliant, she explained everything beforehand and was so efficient the treatment I received was second to none.The reception team were very friendly, especially the lady who made my next appointments and took the payment.I had already started telling people about your practice after the first visit, but now I have had treatment done, I will be pushing people I know to go there.

I was scared before the treatment because I hadn’t had a tooth extracted before. The clinician and the nurse were kind and reassuring and explained the process clearly. They took their time and I’m now free of pain! I needn’t have worried so much because it was a straight forward, fairly quick process and I had no pain throughout. What a relief!
