Oral surgery
Consultation first
A prompt alternative for patients facing a wait, or for treatment you would prefer to refer on. Assessment and reassurance come first.
Dental implants
Single tooth to All-on-4
We can place the implant for you to restore, or manage the whole case, from a single tooth to All-on-4 full arch treatment.
Endodontics

Refer root canal cases you would prefer not to treat in practice. We assess the tooth and talk your patient through their options.
Sedation

Refer patients whose anxiety is a barrier to the treatment they need, so it can be completed calmly and comfortably.

Dental implant referrals
Implants, with as much or as little of the case as you want to keep
Implants are an established option for restoring gaps with minimal impact on adjacent teeth, and one your patients should hear about. We work as a team with you throughout your patient's journey.
- Surgical placement only: we place the implant and you restore it
- Full case management: planning, placement and restoration with us
- All-on-4 full arch: for patients with failing or missing teeth in a whole arch, often with fixed teeth on the same day as surgery
- Support as you learn to restore implants, as our working relationship develops
- Advice and help from our hygiene team with long term implant maintenance

Sedation for patients who need extra support
Some patients put off treatment because of dental anxiety. Refer them to us and we can discuss whether treatment under sedation is suitable for them.

How to refer
A simple referral pathway
Refer online in a few minutes, or call us if you would rather talk a case through first.
1Send your referral
Complete the online form with your patient's details, the type of referral and any radiographs or images. You can also call us on 01524 825218.
2We contact your patient
We arrange appointments with your patient directly. The initial consultation is £75, refunded to your patient if they go ahead with treatment, and gives them time to ask questions.
3Treatment, then back to you
You receive a copy of the written treatment plan and fees, updates on progress, and your patient back in your care once treatment is complete.
We also have information leaflets for your patients, so they understand the procedure and why you are referring them.

How do I refer a patient to Hest Bank Dental Care?
Use our online referral form, or call 01524 825218 to discuss a case. The form asks for your patient's details, the type of referral, your GDC number and your practice details.
Can I send radiographs with my referral?
Yes. You can upload up to four radiographs or other images with the online referral form.
How much do CBCT and OPG scans cost?
A CBCT scan is £150 and an OPG is £40. Radiographic reporting by a GDC registered clinician is £50. Fees are paid by the patient directly when the images are taken.
Will my patient come back to my practice?
Yes. Following treatment we always return the patient to you, and we only carry out the treatment agreed with you as the referring dentist.
What does the patient pay for a consultation?
The initial consultation is £75. This is refunded to your patient if they decide to go ahead with treatment. They also receive a written treatment plan including fees, with a copy sent to you.
