Direct Access
We provide this service for un-registered patients who may often have a dentist of their own that does not provide hygienist services, or for patients who have no dentist at all.
We are happy to welcome you to our practice. We must, however, point out that the treatment our hygienists provide have a different remit legally to a dentist. They are trained to carry out full assessments of the health of gums, provide preventative oral health care and instructions, undertake scaling and polishing, provide fluoride treatments, and carry out oral cancer screening. They are not able to diagnose dental decay or treatment plan any restorative work.
If, during your treatment, the hygienist becomes aware of any abnormalities they will inform you and also contact your dentist to inform them of any concerns, but it is your responsibility to return to your registered dentist for any further treatment or you are, of course, welcome to register here to see a dentist.
