Dental Implants

If you’re missing one or more teeth, having difficulty eating certain foods or trouble speaking clearly due to tooth loss or ill fitting dentures, then dental implants may be the solution for you. Dental implants are a durable and long lasting treatment that can better secure dentures or help support the replacement of missing teeth.
A dental implant is a small titanium screw that’s placed in the jawbone and acts as an artificial tooth root. This creates a stable foundation for the placement of a crown, bridge or for dentures. Implants are a very specialised treatment, with courses of treatment lasting six to 12 months.
Treatment involves:
- Thorough examination, including X-rays and impressions
- Insertion of the dental implant, followed by placing a temporary crown on the tooth to allow the jaw to heal
- Taking a new impression of the tooth to create the crown
- Attaching the new crown, once ready, to the dental implant and re-examining the area during follow ups
We offer a free consultation on all dental implant enquiries, with prices for a single implant and crown from £2500 and up to £6000 for a full arch retained prosthesis. For more detailed information on prices, visit our fees section.
