Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are a subtle approach to enhancing looks naturally and can be used to smooth out facial lines, create fuller lips and shape facial contours, such as cheeks and the chin. They can also be used on frown lines between the eyebrows, from the nose to the angle of the mouth, and to rejuvenate the skin on the back of hands, décolletage, and face. Dermal fillers work by reducing or eliminating lines, wrinkles, and folds in the skin, restoring volume and fullness to the face.
The filler is injected using a fine needle into the affected lines and remains in the skin where it binds with water to produce a lift and firmness to the treated areas. Local anaesthetic is always used before we begin. Treatment usually takes 20-30 minutes, with effects seen immediately after treatment, and is expected to last six to 12 months.
Dermal fillers are very popular due to the safety and efficiency of the treatment being proven beyond doubt with robust clinical data spanning over a decade. Adverse reactions to dermal fillers are very rare. Some common injection related reactions may occur, including redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site, but should resolve within one or two days.
Inflammatory reactions may last for up to two weeks in rare cases and, after a lip enhancement, your lips may be swollen for several days.
